When you start to plan your Forest School site, you will need to have a circle area for seating made from woodland benches to surround your fire pits. These benches should be sited at least 1.5m from the fire pit area.
Fire pits are also fun and allow children to learn about risk assessment, risk taking and fire safety rules.
